Chester F. Dudick, Jr., Deputy District Attorney for Luzerne County, is a graduate of the Dickinson School of Law class of 1980. Chet is a lifelong resident of Luzerne County where he resides with his wife Jannell and two of his five children.


His service in the District Attorney’s Office commenced in 1986 and has continued over five different administrations. Prior to being appointed Deputy District Attorney Chet was a senior trial counsel where he served as first chair for multiple homicide trials. In addition to homicide cases, he has a wide range of trial experience which includes all major crimes including, but not limited to, theft, aggravated assault, white collar crimes, vehicular homicide and arson cases.


As Deputy, Chet’s role includes trying major criminal cases, assigning and scheduling Assistant District Attorneys, and mentoring new staff attorneys. As part of his responsibilities as a representative of the office, he routinely participates in conferences, panel discussions, and seminars. Chet also serves as Pastor of Meade Street Baptist Church located in Wilkes-Barre as an ordained minister.
