  1. Luzerne County Council Special Voting Session, Budget Work Session and Public Hearing

    The Luzerne County Council will hold a Special Voting Session on Monday, November 18, 2019, beginning at 5:00 PM in the Council Meeting Room of the Luzerne County Courthouse. This Special Voting Session will be immediately followed by a Budget Work Session. There will be a Public Hearing on the FY2020 Budget held during the Budget Work Session. The Public Hearing will start after Division 10 – General Government. Division 70 – Human Resources will follow the Public Hearing.

    The Motivational Interviewing workshop will introduce the spirit and core skills of MI to professionals in the field of pro-social change. It will explain the collaborative approach that helps clients reduce ambivalence and overcome the barriers that prevent making lasting changes. The Ethics workshop will consider how professional relationships shift over time. Further it will define dual relationships and challenge participants to check their own professional boundaries.

    Facilitated by: Professional & Peer **This is a no-fee open grief group that welcomes survivors at any stage of their grieving process. You don't need to sign up, just show up. Anyone in need of support after the loss of a loved one is welcome. Participants enter the group, leave, and return as they feel the need.
