The Warrants Division of the Luzerne County Sheriff’s Department was established to effect arrests of individuals who have had a bench warrant issued for their arrest by the court system of Luzerne County. Individuals have been arrested and jailed by this agency for crimes ranging from retail theft, drug possession, aggravated assault, DUI and rape.
Our agency also works in conjunction with other law enforcement agencies in the county as well as throughout the United States and Canada who have asked for our assistance in tracking down fugitives from their areas who have taken up residence in our county. The Luzerne County Sheriff’s Department enters all wanted persons in the National Crime Information Center computer so if the individual runs from our area to another state, other law enforcement agencies will know they are wanted by this agency and will arrest them on our warrant.
The general public may email the assistant contact with any questions or tips. If you have any information concerning individuals that are wanted by this agency, please call the Anonymous Tip line at 888-796-5519.
“Our mission is ever changing, but the one constant is that crime will always be there, and so will we.”
