ARD & PWV

Accelerated Rehabilitation Disposition (ARD) & Probation Without Verdict (PWV)

Offenders placed on ARD or PWV by the Court of Common Pleas of Luzerne County are under the legal supervision of Adult Probation & Parole. The Department supervises the offender over the time period imposed by the Court. In the event of a violation, Probation and Parole certifies the offender to the Office of the District Attorney for revocation ARD / PWV. If the offender is brought before the Court for violations, ARD / PWV may be terminated, and in those situations the Attorney for the Commonwealth shall proceed to schedule trial on the original charges, as provided by law.

For those who have successfully completed  ARD / PWV and have made full payment on monies owed, a motion for dismissal and expungement can be filed with the Court.
