About Us

The Luzerne / Wyoming Counties Drug and Alcohol Program has been designated by the Pennsylvania Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs as the Single County Authority (SCA) for drug and alcohol services in Luzerne and Wyoming Counties. The SCA is responsible for planning, designing, and implementing a comprehensive array of services covering the full continuum of care to the residents of both Luzerne and Wyoming Counties in the areas of Prevention, Intervention, Treatment, and Treatment Related Services.

Prevention

Community as well as school-based prevention services are provided through contracted providers in the areas of information dissemination, education, alternative activities, problem identification and referral, community-based process, and environmental.

Intervention

Intervention services include after-hours crisis/referral services, student assistance program services, and homeless outreach services.

Treatment

Treatment services are provided through a variety of contracted providers to include inpatient detoxification, inpatient rehabilitation, halfway house, partial hospitalization, outpatient, intensive outpatient, and methadone services. Access a list of Treatment Service Providers.
