Luzerne County is pleased to announce drop off locations for the Mail-In Ballots for the June 2, 2020 primary election.

The Luzerne County Election Bureau has processed approximately 52,000 mail in ballot applications to date. All completed ballots must be received by the Elections Bureau by 8pm on June 2. Per Pennsylvania law, postmarks are not accepted.

In order to ensure that your ballot is received by the deadline, all voters are encouraged to drop off their ballot at one of the following locations. A County courier or deputy sheriff will collect the ballots numerous times throughout the day. Utilizing the drop off locations will alleviate any potential postal delay.

Hazleton Post Office – 231 N. Wyoming Street, Hazleton PA

  • Drop off Ballot to Clerk at Counter - First Class Postage Required
  • 7:30am-5:15pm- May 27 through May 29, June 1
  • 9am-12:30pm – May 30

Wilkes-Barre Post Office – 300 S. Main Street, Wilkes-Barre

  • Drop off Ballot to Clerk at Counter -  - First Class Postage Required
  • 7am to 6pm – May 27 through May 29, June 1
  • 8am to 1pm – May 30

Penn Place, 20 N. Pennsylvania Avenue, Wilkes-Barre

  • FREE PARKING IN DESIGNATED SPOTS ON PENNSYLVANIA AVE.
  • Drop off Ballot at Lockbox location at Security Desk in main entrance
  • No postage required for drop off at this location only
  • 8am to 5pm – May 27 through May 29, June 1
  • 7am to 8pm – June 2 (Election Day)

The next meeting of the Board of Elections and Registration will be held on May 27th at 4:30pm.  This meeting will be held online only.  Click here for online information.
