Our Emergency Management Agency is responsible for the judicious planning, assignment and coordination of all available resources for an integrated program of prevention, mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery for emergencies of any kind that may occur within Luzerne County.

Luzerne County EMA participated as a player for several major exercises and drills in August to include, but not limited to, Talen Energy’s annual Susquehanna Steam Electric Station's municipal practice drill, involving all nineteen municipalities within the Emergency Planning Zone and their EOC’s.  A special thanks to all staff and volunteers whom helped ensure our success during this drill, and for all you do for the residents of Luzerne County!
