Foster Township is a 44 square mile, mostly low-density residential area, located in the southeast part of the Pocono Mountains.
Foster Township is a moderately growing area that is easily accessible by Interstates 80 and 81, State routes 940 and 309 and also the Pennsylvania Turnpike Route 476 and its close proximity to the various activities and attractions of the Pocono Mountains.
Foster Township is also the home to the well-known meat packaging plant of Citterio USA Corporation, the private school of Mining and Mechanical Institute (MMI), and the Eckley Miners' Village which was the site for the famous movie “The Molly Maguires.” Facts
