Doug Pape was named County Manager/Chief Clerk in March 2008. He is responsible for coordinating all aspects of County business with the Board of Commissioners, including the management of daily operations and the oversight of more than two dozen departments and agencies.
 
Prior to his promotion, Pape had been fulfilling two county government roles, serving as acting interim director of the transportation department since February 2007 and contracts manager for the Luzerne County Office of Human Services since January 2006.
 
Pape received his bachelor’s degree in 1992 from Bloomsburg University, and earned his master’s degree in 2009 in public administration from East Stroudsburg University.
