Our office sells Sportsmen’s Firearms Permits for hunting and fishing. The cost is $6.00 for five years.

In order to purchase a permit, you must appear in person at the the Treasurer’s Office with proof of identity. Drivers licenses or state issued identification cards are accepted.

In order for the permit to be valid, you must posess a current Pennsylvania hunting or fishing license.

This type of permit is NOT to be used for personal protection. Your firearm cannot be carried concealed or loaded. Concealed weapons permits are available through the Luzerne County Sheriff’s Office.
