The Luzerne County prothonotary maintains two full-service offices in both the Luzerne County Courthouse (2^nd Floor) in Wilkes-Barre and the Luzerne County Annex in Hazleton. Passports are processed at both offices. As the Hazleton office is staffed by one employee, it is recommended that you call before going to the office to ensure that the office is open that day.

Please note that passport applications are accepted until 4 PM.  Those requiring expedited service must be in the office by 2 PM.  Special arrangements (including onsite applications at your school, church or group meeting place) can be made for groups traveling together by calling the passport office at (570) 825-2770.
