Luzerne County Commissioner Greg Skrepenak Honors Mattioli Family, Pocono International Raceway

(Wilkes-Barre)-On July 20th, 2006, Luzerne County Commission Chairman Gregory A. Skrepenak joined Wilkes-Barre Mayor Tom Leighton, Council Chairman Tony Thomas, and other city officials on Public Square, in paying tribute to Dr. Joseph and Dr. Rose Mattioli, owners of Pocono International Raceway, for their contributions to the economy and quality of life in Northeastern Pennsylvania. In conjuction with the running of the NASCAR/Nextel Pennsylvania 500, the Commissioner declared July 20th through the 23rd as “Dr. Joseph and Dr. Rose Mattioli Pocono Raceway Weekend in Luzerne County.”
