Luzerne County Commissioners Continue their “Commissioners in Our Communities” initiative by holding meeting at Harvey’s Lake Borough

(Harvey’s Lake) On July 19th, 2006, the Luzerne County Commissioners continued their initiative of bringing county government to our residents in their communities by holding their regularly scheduled meeting at the Harvey’s Lake Municipal Authority Building. Residents had an opportunity to address the Commissioners about the problems and concerns facing their communities. The Commissioners also voted on a number of important issues, including the creation of an Institute for Alcohol and Other Drug Studies in cooperation with Luzerne County Community College, and an agreement bringing a number of county services to a new annex in downtown Hazleton, which would serve residents of Southern Luzerne County.
