Luzerne County Commissioner Gregory A. Skrepenak and Senior Staff Members Give High School Students a Behind-the-Scenes Look at How County Government Works
(Wilkes-Barre)-More than two dozen Student Council Representatives from high schools all across Luzerne County were treated to an inside look at how county government functions at the First Annual Luzerne County Student Government Day, held on February 6, 2007. The day long session, hosted by Luzerne County Commission Chairman Gregory A. Skrepenak, featured presentations by County Manager/Chief Clerk Samuel T. Guesto, Jr., Chief of Budget and Finance Sam Diaz, Human Resources Director Doug Richards, and a tour of the historic courthouse by Public Information Officer Kathy Bozinski. The informative day was developed by Commissioner Skrepenak in hopes of inspiring interest in community service and leadership in the young people of Luzerne County.
