(Wilkes-Barre) - The Luzerne County Commissioners joined with dozens of local residents of Welsh descent to celebrate St. David's Day on March 1, 2007, in honor of the Patron Saint of Wales. The celebration was hosted by Luzerne County Public Information Officer Kathy Bozinski, and a resolution on the day was presented by Commissioner Stephen A. Urban. One of the highlights of the cermony was the presence on 3-year old Abby Price of Bear Creek, who was dressed in a traditional Welsh costume.  Following the ceremony, participants took part in the raising of the flag of Wales on the South Lawn of the courthouse.
