Luzerne County Commissioners Join Wilkes-Barre Mayor Tom Leighton in Announcing the Selection of Frontier Communications as the City's Wire Free Provider

(Wilkes-Barre) - Luzerne County Commission Chairman Gregory A. Skrepenak and Commissioner Todd A. Vonderheid joined Wilkes-Barre Mayor Tom Leighton on May 10th 2007, to announce that Frontier Communications had been selected to build and maintain a wireless internet infrastructure for the City of Wilkes-Barre at no cost to the city's taxpayers.The wireless initiative will be an integral part of a growing public safety initiative throughout the city and Luzerne County, and will compliment Luzerne County's Safe Schools Initiative, which will feature a wireless security camera network in and around school properties throughout the county. Frontier, which is located in downtown Wilkes-Barre, offers telephone, television and internet services to homes and businesses.
