Luzerne County Commissioners Continue "Commissioners in Your Community" Initiative with Hazleton Meeting.

 (Wilkes-Barre) - The Luzerne County Board of Commissioners held its regular meeting at Hazleton City Hall on September 13th, 2006. Among the items approved by Commissioners before a large group of residents of Southern Luzerne County were the presentation of a check to Hazleton Area Transit System Director Bob Fiume for continued support of the Transit System, as well as the approval of an intergovernmental agreement which would provide support for state and federal grant applications on behalf of the Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs. Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs President and CEO Bobby Soper was present to thank the Commissioners for their leadership and continuing support of the Mohegan Tribal Authority’s multi-million dollar investment in Luzerne County.
