Maryanne C. Petrilla
Before her election to the Luzerne County Board of Commissioners, Chairman Maryanne C. Petrilla served as the Luzerne County Controller. Prior to being elected to a position in Luzerne County Government, Controller Petrilla was the Butler Township Manager for eleven years, during which she managed and administrated a balanced budget. She also served as Legislative Aide to State Representative Tom Stish.
Along with serving on the Board of Commissioners, Chairman Petrilla is a member of the Luzerne County Retirement Board, which oversees $193 million in pension assets. She was appointed by Governor Ed Rendell to the Board of Directors of the White Haven Center. She also is a member of the Board of Directors of Northeast Counseling Services, and is a former member of the Luzerne County Municipal Cooperation Commission.
Chairman Petrilla is a graduate of McCann School of Business and Technology.
Chairman Petrilla and her husband, Jack, who are residents of Butler Township, have been married for over 25 years. They are the proud parents of two sons, J.P., 23, and Daniel, 21.
