 As found in both the Mental Health and Intellectual Disabilities Act of 1966 as well as the Department of Welfare’s (DPW’s) 4200 Regulation, the duties of the County Mental Health and Developmental Services Advisory Board are to review and evaluate the  County Mental Health and Developmental Services’ needs, services, facilities and special problems in relation to the local health and welfare needs, services and programs, recommend to local authorities not less than two persons for the position of administrator, develop, together with the administrator, annual plans required for Mental Health and Developmental Services, recommend to the local authorities regarding the program and any other matters relating to mental health and developmental services in the county, including purchase of service contracts and funds required to implement the program, and review performance under Mental Health and Developmental Services and recommends a system of program evaluation.
